Chartered Tax Advisers

We are a small firm of Chartered Tax Advisers specialising in all aspects of personal tax. The firm was established in 1978 and we are located on the outskirts of Plymouth. Although the majority of our clients are based in the UK we also attend to the UK tax affairs of many clients who are based in other parts of the world.

Our ethos is to provide a professional and efficient service based on a sound knowledge of our clients, and to do so in a friendly and approachable manner. This is coupled with a genuine desire to help our clients to keep their tax liabilities and compliance burdens to a minimum.  

Why are we different?

The factors which we believe set us apart from general firms of Accountants are that we deal almost exclusively with personal tax matters, that we are qualified Chartered Tax Advisers and that, as a small firm, our clients may be assured of personal contact with one of the two directors.

Chartered Institute of Taxation 

A Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (www.tax.org.uk) who has passed rigorous examinations in taxation which are widely accepted as being of greater breadth and depth than those set by the various accountancy bodies.  A CTA must adhere to a high and well defined standard of professional conduct and is committed to a programme of continuing professional development and training in order to keep up to date with the complex and constantly changing law and practice of UK taxation.
